With Labor Day officially ending summer, we gradually begin reducing our staff to compensate for the change in business demands during the fall and winter months.
If an employee is not retained during our off-peak season, but maintained a positive employment record with Catalina Express he/she may be invited to come back the following season.

Deckhand As members of our Boat Crew, Deckhands load and unload baggage, clean and secure deck and cabin areas, and provide general customer assistance.
Primary responsibilities are to ensure passenger safety and comfort.
Qualified candidates will be at least 18 years of age and possess a minimum of 6 months customer service experience, the ability to lift 70 lbs.
of weight, stand, walk and bend for extended periods of time, and not be prone to seasickness.
Candidates must also be able to pass a required U.

Coast Guard drug screen.
Must be able to work a combination of early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Holidays are required.
Must be able to work in any of our 4 ports.
Must have a California Food Handler Card if hired.
Must be able to swim.
Scheduled shifts begin as early as 4:
45 am and may end as late as 2 a.
m.
Normal shifts range from 6 to 12 hours per day.
Starting rate of pay is $18.
25 per hour.
